Why do people behave as they do? Why is that student running around the classroom? Why is that child sitting with her head down? Why am I stopping for an extra-large coffee with a turbo shot every morning? To understand, predict, and change behavior, we must first understand how it works. This session will provide foundational knowledge of behavior and reinforcement strategies.
This training is in alignment with the following 2023 Special Education Self-Assessment Domains to support your Local Education Agencies (LEA) efforts to evaluate and improve your educational program serving students with disabilities receiving special education services: Domains 1-Child Find, 2-Intervention, 16 & 17- Disproportionality, 19-Behavior, and 20-Behavior Intervention Plans. This session will take place in the form of a Zoom session. Participants must have a desktop, laptop or Chromebook in order to participate, along with an adequate internet connection.
