ESC-20 provides professional development and technical assistance to support educators with implementation of the Science TEKS by analyzing data to enhance instructional practices to meet the needs of students, and provides targeted support to reach campus and district goals.

Important Session Information:


This session will take place at ESC-20 Maple Conference Center (1314 Hines) in the Alamo Science Lab on the Ground floor. 

This K-2nd grade training equips teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to use the essential elements of the STEMscopes curriculum. Teachers will develop an understanding of where resources are located and the value of the 5E+IA model, constructivism, and hands-on inquiry. 

Objectives: 

  1. Understand the value of the 5E+IA model, constructivism, and hands-on inquiry. 
  2. Navigate the digital teacher edition to locate instructional materials with ease. 
  3. Experience a 5E lesson/scope from beginning to end using all essential elements.
