Important Session Information:

Districts/Charters are strongly encouraged to attend as a SPEDTeam consisting of a Transition Designee (TED), ARD facilitator, case managers, and anyone else involved in or responsible for student’s graduation planning.

The Foundation High School Program became the default graduation program in Texas for all students entering ninth grade starting with the 2014-2015 school year.

This session will cover Texas laws, rules, and administrative codes as they pertain to Special Education students with transition plans attending public schools in Texas. We will discuss all state graduation requirements, including programs of study, endorsements, distinguished levels of achievement, and performance acknowledgments, and how these apply to students receiving special education services.
