These meetings are for professionals involved in the continuum of care for babies between zero and three years old who are deaf/hard of hearing(DHH), who present with a visual impairment (VI), or who present with deaf-blindness (DB).The audience includes teachers of students who are DHH, VI, or DB; early childhood staff; audiologists; hearing sensitivity screeners, orientation and mobility specialists; and other stakeholders (districts, charter schools, programs) who are involved with early childhood services. Please pass this information along to those who are involved in these early childhood areas.
The outcomes of these meetings are to
- discuss the current challenges in the ESC-20 area (San Antonio and beyond) for families in accessing early childhood services,
- create solutions to help families seamlessly access support and services,
- gain insights about latest practices and protocols involved in early identification and infant services,
- create networking opportunities to connect with others who are supporting these populations, and
- share experiences and resources.
