G/T 6 hour update - Elevate Student Thinking by Encouraging Effective Questioning



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


How can you encourage students to level up their questioning? In this session, you will get an overview of various strategies that teach students how to ask and create high level questions. Strategies shared will focus on identifying levels of questioning and the ways to engage students in creating their own high level questions in the classroom.

NOTE: This session can count for a G/T Day 4, Day 5 or 6-Hour Update if not previously taken.
