Important Session Information:


This session will take place at ESC-20 Maple Conference Center (1314 Hines) in the Alamo Science Lab located on the ground floor.  

This session will introduce science teachers to valuable Free resources that can significantly streamline lesson planning and enhance student learning.

  • TEA TEKS Guides: We will explore the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) guides, a comprehensive resource that provides detailed information on each science standard, including clarifying objectives, student expectations, and assessment recommendations. Learn how to effectively use these guides to align your instruction with state standards and ensure student mastery.
  • Magic School AI: Discover the power of AI in education with Magic School AI. This innovative platform offers a range of tools that can assist with lesson planning, such as generating creative lesson ideas, creating interactive activities, and even drafting assessments. Learn how to leverage this AI tool to save time and increase the engagement of your science lessons.

Participants will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the TEA TEKS and how to effectively use them in their lesson planning.
  • Learn how to utilize Magic School AI to enhance their lesson planning process and increase student engagement.
  • Develop practical strategies for integrating these tools into their existing teaching practices.

Who should attend:

Science teachers, coordinators, instructional coaches at all grade levels are encouraged to attend.
