Virtual: Speech and Language Intervention for Children from Diverse Backgrounds-BILINGUISTICS
Successfully intervene with children from diverse backgrounds using the curriculum and literacy-based
intervention. Easily target appropriate goals, choose successful intervention strategies, and make
progress that leads to dismissals. Articulation is addressed with special considerations for second language influence. Language strategies presented bolster communication, vocabulary, and literacy.
Participants will be able to:

Apply a systematic framework to identify articulation therapy targets for bilingual children

Identify appropriate language intervention goals for bilingual children

Describe the cognitive process for acquiring and storing new vocabulary

Implement strategies to reduce therapy planning but relying on classroom resources and topics
