What is Dare to Lead ™?Dare to Lead™ is based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™. It is an empirically based couragebuilding program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.
The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.
Individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put the Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.

The work is completed in an experiential workshop with participants watching videos of Brené explaining her research, writing inside their personal workbook given to participants on the first day, discussing the work as tablemates, and finally, engaging with the whole group. The key piece to know is this is experiential. It will not be conducted like a presentation. This also means there is quite a bit of sitting. These programs’ competencies are acquired in a more personal development manner and these theories can only go as far as you are willing to take them into practice. Keep in mind, too, that the facilitator will do all she can to give breaks and have you up and moving.
