Autism
ADOS-2 Introductory Training Modules 1-4

ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for families and professionals working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a variety of school settings.

Important Session Information:

The ADOS-2 is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of social communication and play or imaginative use of materials used with individuals suspected of having autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The ADOS-2 can be used to evaluate individuals at different developmental levels and chronological ages, from toddlers to adults, from individuals with no speech to those who are verbally fluent.

This in-person workshop uses a lecture format and video demonstrations to introduce the basic principles of administering and scoring the ADOS-2 and provides an essential step toward competence in using the ADOS-2 in everyday practice. Participants will gain a fundamental understanding of Modules 1-4 and experience observing and scoring assessments with the support of a trainer and materials provided.

This workshop is designed for evaluators and clinicians with prior background in ASD and formal testing, such as licensed specialists in school psychology, speech-language pathologists, social workers, behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and other clinicians/researchers in autism assessment.
