Person-Centered Training for Front-Facing Staff



ESC-20 provides resources and training opportunities for parents and families of students served within federal programs, including, but not limited to, Title I, Title III, Special Education, and Head Start.

Important Session Information:


Through person-centered practices, we seek to establish meaningful connections and build strong relationships with our students, families, and colleagues. By actively listening, collaborating, and valuing the voices of all, we strive to co-create an educational experience that is engaging, inclusive, and supportive. 

The learner will:

  • Increase capacity to build a culturally responsive and welcoming school environment 
  • Enhance professional communication to prioritize every individual's needs 
  • Increase your empathy skills to cultivate a person-first culture for everyone

This session is for front-facing staff, including but not limited to family engagement specialists, liaisons, admin. assistants., secretaries, clerks, social workers, etc. 

The session is in partnership with SAISD. The session's presenter is Angela Menchaca, employee of SAISD and Certified Person-Centered Thinking Trainer.
