This session is designed specifically for individuals serving as required dyslexia members on ARD Committees who may not hold advanced training certifications related to dyslexia. Participants will learn about the key characteristics of dyslexia and how they manifest in academic performance. The session will also explore current research in assessments and practices used in the identification of dyslexia. By the end of this session, participants will be equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to ARD Committee discussions and decisions regarding the identification of students with dyslexia.
Note: While this session will discuss test administration and the interpretation of test scores, it will not provide training in administering specific instruments.
