Outdoor Learning Outperforms Indoor Learning Leadership Summit



Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) provides assistance to districts in the successful development and implementation of a school readiness integration model of coordinated funding that brings school districts, Head Start programs and child care providers together in a mixed delivery model.  ESC-20 also provides leadership to ensure the effective regional implementation of appropriate instructional strategies in early childhood settings through technical assistance and professional development in the areas of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum and supports parents with Pre-Kindergarten information and eligibility criteria.

Summit for ALL leaders, PK-12th grade!

Deepen understanding of the instructional benefits of outdoor learning: Participants will gain a comprehensive knowledge base (with supporting research) on how outdoor learning aligns with academic performance and daily attendance.

Develop strategies for implementing safe, sustainable, and impactful outdoor learning environments: Participants will learn practical strategies, best practices, and funding opportunities to ensure that their outdoor learning initiatives are effective and long-lasting.

Create an active community of practice: Participants will have opportunities to connect with other school leaders, share experiences, and build a network of support to implement or expand their outdoor learning policies, programs, or projects.
