Texas Education Agency is rolling out state-wide professional development to prepare teachers for successful implementation of STEM instruction in their classrooms.
During this two-day, face-to-face training, teachers will take on the role of STEM learner, becoming fully immersed and engaged in high impact STEM practices, such as project-based learning, design-based challenges, and computational thinking. To better understand the role STEM plays in education, educators will make connections between the Texas STEM framework, STEM fluency skills, and contemporary workforce demands during the training. Participants will have time to begin the important work of planning how to embed these skills into their daily work with students.
As part of the registration price, all participants will receive a TEA STEM Resource Guide.
