Learning Off Site sessions will occur outside the walls of ESC-20. These sessions are facilitated with community partners and may be conducted at a number of off site locations and in a variety of content areas.
In partnership with H.E. Butt Outdoor School, San Antonio Zoo, and Compass Rose Public Schools: Journey Campus we look forward to experiencing this Nature Retreat with you. In this session, participants will learn how to develop a sense of belonging in the outdoors and foster student ownership for outdoor learning environments. Participants will understand that using outdoor intentional experiences provides opportunities to master all of the Texas state objectives. Supporting children's interests in the outdoors can support the construction and retention of self-regulation, executive function, and academic skills.
