Important Session Information:


For part 1 of 3 in this research series, come learn how to move beyond research projects controlled by the teacher. Come learn what the TEKS can inform us about the research process, from choosing a topic to forming a research question. 

This course will include:

  • Developing questions for formal and informal inquiry
  • Guiding students in selecting a research topic and refining it into a research question.
  • Critiquing the research process to implement changes as needed. 
  • Developing and revise a plan. 
  • Modifying the research question as needed.

Session 1: Research Skills: Understanding the Research Process - April 11th, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Session 2: Research Skills: Effective Source Evaluation - April 24th, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.  

Session 3: Research Skills: Cite, Write, and Present - May 8th, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
