Step into the past and uncover the fascinating stories of influential historical figures who shaped the world, especially Texas. In this engaging session, participants will explore the lives, achievements, and impact of key individuals from different eras and cultures. Through interactive discussions, multimedia resources, and critical thinking activities, we’ll analyze their contributions, challenges, and lasting legacies. Whether you're interested in leaders, innovators, artists, or revolutionaries, this session will bring history to life and inspire a deeper understanding of the people who changed the course of history.

This session will focus on Barbara Jordan. Participants will understand the significance of historical context and voice as well as explore close reading hot text strategies aligned to STAAR.
