VIRTUAL: TEA Transition Training Sessions



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to district transition contacts and vocational adjustment coordinators in the development and implementation of effective transition services and inter-agency collaboration.

Important Session Information:


This session is for secondary teachers responsible for entering and tracking transition planning in a students IEP. 

TEA created three one hour sessions, the sessions will be presented one after the other.

Conducting Necessary Transition Assessments 

  • Transition assessments within the transition process
  • Federal and state requirements for transition assessments

Writing Appropriate Measurable Postsecondary Goals  

  • Write appropriate measurable postsecondary goals
  • Role appropriate measurable postsecondary goals play in transition planning 

Coordinating Set of Activities 

  • Purpose of a coordinated set of activities within the transition planning process
  • Importance of student and family involvement in planning transition services  

Coaching will also be available upon request for interested participants who attended this session.
