School Climate

Important Session Information:

With the statewide rollout of the BTA Module in Sentinel this April and all districts required to use it by August 1, 2025, the Office of School Safety from the Texas Education Agency is providing two opportunities for all BTA Sentinel users to participate in a live, guided walk-through training at their regional Education Service Center (ESC).

These sessions will offer a step-by-step demonstration of the BTA Module within Sentinel, ensuring that all users are confident and prepared to conduct Behavioral Threat Assessments effectively.

 What to Expect:

  • How to access the BTA Module in Sentinel
  • Navigating the BTA Dashboard, resources, and guidance
  • A full walk-through of an entire BTA case – from opening to closure
  • Exploring all key functionalities along the way
  • Individual case practice

This training is designed to provide hands-on experience and answer your questions in real-time. Don’t miss this opportunity to get ahead of the transition and ensure your team is ready for full implementation by August 1.

This course will be taught by The Texas Education Agency. You must stay for the entire length of the training to receive credit.
