Education Service Center, Region 20 is hosting a Wild Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt for students with visual impairments. Teachers for Students with Visual Impairments (TVIs) and/or Orientation and Mobility Specialists (O&Ms) will be given a Scavenger Hunt form with the riddles or tasks students are required to complete. Evidence of completion through photographs of students solving the riddle or completing the tasks accompanied by their TVIs, O&Ms, or other local educational agency (LEA) personnel in their school environment is required.
Once the hunt is complete, the evidence is sent to ESC-20. Participants may check in with ESC-20 via Zoom upon completion of the event. Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) Skills are essential in completing tasks.
Students will receive a book after the event documenting all their adventures. For students with complex needs, adults should consider creating an experience book for each student to share with others.
Registration closes on November 25, 2025. Participants will receive an email with the Scavenger Hunt Riddles on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Vision professionals, please register with Connect20.
Zoom will be available at 9:00 and will close at 3:00 on the day of the event. This allows the participants to begin the scavenger hunt on their own timeline.
This session is free to members of the Special Education Cooperative.
