This session focuses on the development of skills for Special Education Assessment Staff when assessing Students with Visual Impairments for initial evaluations and re-evaluations. Participants will receive information on the assessment documentation required to identify a student with a visual impairment. Participants will understand their role as assessors in the process of identifying students with a suspicion of visual impairments.
The intended audience for this training is evaluation staff, including school psychologists, diagnosticians, speech-language pathologists, and any other professional staff responsible for the identification of students with a visual impairment.
