Virtual: Talking to Preschoolers to Build Communication and Thinking Skills



ESC-20 provides regional leadership, technical assistance, and staff development to clients in the area of family engagement. ESC-20 also provides resources and training opportunities for parents and families of students served within federal programs, including, but not limited to, Title I, Title III, Special Education, and Head Start.

Important Session Information:


Parents are eager for their children to succeed in school, and young children are geared to learn lots of new vocabulary words during the preschool years. With a few simple interaction tips, parents can tailor their talk with their children to build vocabulary and critical thinking skills that lay the ground for school success. This workshop will highlight what research says about talking with preschoolers to ready them for school.
