VIRTUAL Youth Awareness Hour: Bullying Prevention

Teaching and Learning Services Professional Development

Important Session Information:

The Youth Awareness Hour series is coordinated by the Behavioral Health Partnership Program Liaison for ESC 20. This series was designed to provide no-cost, convenient, learning opportunities to inform, engage, and empower adults who play a role in the lives of young people.

Each session, we will explore key issues affecting youth today — from mental health and social media, to peer pressure, relationships, and more. The goal is to help bridge generational gaps, deepen empathy, and equip adults with the awareness and tools to better support the next generation.

Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, counselor, or community leader — these sessions are for you. Let’s learn together, grow together, and show up stronger for today’s youth!

This session will be presented by Crime Stoppers of Houston, and will cover Bullying Prevention.

"This training discusses best practices on creating a bully-free climate. Learn to identify the different types of bullying, the Internet's effects on bullying, statistics, state laws, and how to best support your students on and off campus."
