Elevate Your Impact: Pursue Dyslexia Practitioner Certification using Jet
This comprehensive training empowers secondary educators to become certified dyslexia practitioners. Join us for an engaging five-day summer session, followed by four focused seminar days and the opportunity to apply your learning through five demonstration lessons.
Successful completion prepares you to sit for the Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) exam with the Academic Language Therapist Association. Meeting CALP qualifications also makes you eligible to apply for the Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP) license through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) – take the next step in your professional growth and become a crucial resource for students with dyslexia.
Jet is an adaptation of the Take Flight curriculum that is a fast paced reading intervention designed for individuals with dyslexia fourteen years and older.
Key features of Jet:
- One year, evidence-based dyslexia intervention
- one-on-one or small group instruction (no more than 6 students)
- Four days a week(60 minutes) or five days a weeks (45 minutes) lesson cycle
In addition to the summer training date participants will also need to:
- Attend three required seminar dates. There is fourth that is optional.
- Complete written work
- Demonstrate program proficiency in 5 demonstration lessons
