Get ready to be part of an exciting and highly interactive workshop designed for elementary educators and elementary STEM Leaders.
Together we will use and engage with the award-winning youth STEM curricula program via Youth Engineering Solutions (YES) and the Museum of Science. We will walk through the What is Engineering? Lesson, Engineering Nightlights (Grade 1), and Engineering Magnetic Dog Doors (Grade 3) units.
This STEM Leader Academy will help you gain the tools and confidence to support colleagues using the YES curriculum and students going through these lessons.
We will also work on building our own kit for one of the units. Overall, you will leave with two (2) complete lessons that are multi-day, plus all the supplies/resources needed to implement!
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is perfect for elementary educators looking to enhance their STEM teaching and expand their role as a leader within their school or district.
It is also perfect for K-5 teachers, STEM Leaders, Instructional Coaches, Administrators, and more, who are looking to train their educators on the YES curriculum.
