Virtual: Collaborative Models for Comprehensive Literacy: Bringing Meaningful Literacy Instruction to AAC Users



ESC-20 provides training, technical support, resources and information about speech therapy for students who have communication disorders.

This session will explore push-in therapy models to support AAC users’ language and literacy development. Participants will learn strategies for implementing a comprehensive literacy approach in classrooms through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams using a station teaching model. The discussion will focus on how teaching staff and SLPs can partner to provide authentic and inclusive learning experiences for AAC users.

This program has been submitted for approval of 3 clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (TSHA). TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.

This session is free to members of the Special Education Cooperative.
