The Youth Awareness Hour series is coordinated by the Behavioral Health Partnership Program Liaison for ESC 20. This series was designed to provide no-cost, convenient, learning opportunities to inform, engage, and empower adults who play a role in the lives of young people.
Each session, we will explore key issues affecting youth today — from mental health and social media, to peer pressure, relationships, and more. The goal is to help bridge generational gaps, deepen empathy, and equip adults with the awareness and tools to better support the next generation.
This session will be presented by San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, and will cover Behavioral Manifestations of Adult, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Diagnoses.
Understand how common mental health diagnoses show up in behavior across age groups—and what those behaviors may be communicating. This training gives teachers and staff practical insight into recognizing patterns, reducing misinterpretation, and responding with empathy and effectiveness.
Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, counselor, or community leader — these sessions are for you. Let’s learn together, grow together, and show up stronger for today’s youth!
