The Youth Awareness Hour series is coordinated by the Behavioral Health Partnership Program Liaison for ESC 20. This series was designed to provide no-cost, convenient, learning opportunities to inform, engage, and empower adults who play a role in the lives of young people.
Each session, we will explore key issues affecting youth today — from mental health and social media, to peer pressure, relationships, and more. The goal is to help bridge generational gaps, deepen empathy, and equip adults with the awareness and tools to better support the next generation.
This session will be presented by San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, and will cover Mental Health Care Continuum - A Guide for Educators on Levels of Care.
This presentation will help teachers/paraprofessionals/school staff understand the different levels of mental health care services including: common admission criteria for each level of care, array of services for each level of care and how to help students & families access mental health care across the continuum of services.
Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, counselor, or community leader — these sessions are for you. Let’s learn together, grow together, and show up stronger for today’s youth!
