G/T Foundational Admin/Counselor Session



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


In this session, you will learn about the nature of gifted students, identification measures to find students with potential and performance, Social-Emotional concerns with G/T students and program options that meet their needs. Participants will analyze the recently approved SBOE requirements for Gifted and Talented and review content required in the Texas State Plan for Gifted and Talented Students.This workshop meets Texas state requirements for six hour G/T administrators and counselor training.

This will be a Face to Face Session at ESC-20
