Important Session Information:

"Building a Rock-Solid Foundation: Strengthen Comprehension, Vocabulary, and Writing Skills Throughout Phonics Instruction"

Confident readers possess skills that extend beyond phonics, including prosody, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary. For students with dyslexia, often the priority is placed upon improving decoding skills, and the other building blocks are left for later. By thoughtfully layering these skills into existing practices, the process of helping students develop a positive relationship to reading and writing is faster than ever! During this session, Jennifer Hasser, M.Ed., will outline strategies for teaching these skills simultaneously with all levels of instruction. Participants will leave with engaging, multisensory activities designed to build a solid literacy foundation.

This session is free for members of the Special Education Cooperative.
