Bluebonnet Learning (K-5) Overview



ESC-20 provides professional development and technical assistance to support educators with implementation of the Mathematics TEKS by analyzing data to enhance instructional practices to meet the needs of students, and provides targeted support to reach campus and district goals.

Important Session Information:


In this session, attendees will receive an overview of Bluebonnet Learning: K-5 Math, a high-quality, state-developed instructional material that aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The training focuses on successful implementation of the curriculum's research-based strategies to build students' deep, conceptual understanding of mathematics. Attendees will explore the program's four-part lesson structure (fluency, application problem, concept development, and student debrief) that supports a concrete, representational, abstract (CRA) approach.
