ZOOM Session - G/T 3 hour update:Creativity Boosters: Classroom Practices That Spark Innovation

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

Creativity is a core component of quality G/T programming, yet it is often the most overlooked. In this session, teachers will experience and design quick creativity warm-ups, divergent thinking routines, and product-based extensions they can incorporate immediately. Participants will submit a short plan for using one strategy in their classroom.

This session will be a Zoom session from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM. There will be a product component that will be submitted to receive your 3 hours of credit. You will be receiving a Zoom Pre-Registration Link. Please fill out with your District E-mail.

The documents and submissions will be through Google Classroom on the day of the session. It is highly recommended to have your personal Google Account ready in the event that you are not able to join with your District E-mail.
