ZOOM Session - G/T 3 hour update: Supporting Twice-Exceptional Learners in Daily Instruction

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

Teachers often ask how to meet the needs of students who are both gifted and have a disability or 504 plan. This session looks at common characteristics of 2e students and practical supports that help them thrive. We will examine instructional moves, behavior supports, and ways to build on students’ strengths.

This session will be a Zoom session from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM. There will be a product component that will be submitted to receive your 3 hours of credit. You will be receiving a Zoom Pre-Registration Link. Please fill out with your District E-mail.

The documents and submissions will be through Google Classroom on the day of the session. It is highly recommended to have your personal Google Account ready in the event that you are not able to join with your District E-mail.
