Use of Quality Data to Drive Instruction

Important Session Information:

Writing instruction is in a tricky place, particularly in Texas where the STAAR test now demands writing across subjects and grade levels. Meanwhile, AI has upended traditional writing curriculum and educators must now teach students to use such tools effectively while also fostering independent writing skills. This session offers 5 strategies, tools, and policies for addressing these new challenges in writing instruction in the age of AI.

Teachers will also create custom Gemini GEM writing coaches for potential use with their students.

Note: Participants must have a laptop or Chromebook in order to attend, along with a Google account (preferably district-issued).
