Districts receiving a Special Education Determination Level (DL) 3 or DL4 are required to move beyond plan development and into sustained, documented implementation of their Results Driven Accountability (RDA) Strategic Support Plan (SSP). This five-day virtual cohort is designed to provide structured, ongoing support to ensure districts remain on track with required submissions, implementation milestones, and Texas Education Agency (TEA) progress-monitoring expectations.
Participants will be guided month-by-month through the 2025–2026 Special Education RDA Intervention and Submission Calendar, with a focus on completing required actions, preparing evidence for ASCEND submissions, and aligning district work with scheduled TEA meetings and progress check-ins. Each session is intentionally timed to correspond with key implementation phases, including SSP implementation, data review, evidence collection, and preparation for mid-point and end-of-year conferences.
Throughout the cohort, districts will receive hands-on support to:
-
Monitor SSP implementation and adjust actions based on data
-
Prepare for TEA initial, monthly, and mid-point progress meetings
-
Organize and submit required SSP evidence in ASCEND
-
Strengthen internal systems for sustainable continuous improvement
This cohort is ONLY for districts that received a DL3 or DL4 RDA SSP rating and the sessions will be conducted virtually through zoom.
