G/T Online - 6 hour update - Refining Lesson Planning for Gifted & Talented Students Using Depth and Complexity (Spring Session 2 2026)



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


The Depth and Complexity Framework offers a powerful way to scaffold instruction and create meaningful learning opportunities for G/T students. In this self-paced online course, you’ll explore practical ways to enrich your lesson plans using this framework, with innovative approaches that support the whole child and push students’ thinking in thoughtful, developmentally appropriate ways.

This course is self paced and you can enroll at any time between now and March 18, 2026.

You will have from March 2, 2026- May 1, 2026 to complete the course.
