G/T Online - 6 hour update: G/T and English Learners - Spring Session 2 2026



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.
 


Important Session Information:


During this session, participants will identify the characteristics of gifted English learners and analyze instructional strategies for gifted learners and gifted English learners. Additionally, participants will synthesize and apply new learning to the development of educational resources for gifted English learners.

*This session can take the place of a G/T Day 4 or 5. The session also will satisfy the TEA requirements for a G/T 6 hour update.

This course is self paced and you can enroll at any time between now and March 18, 2026

You will have from March 6, 2026 - May 1, 2026 to complete the course.
