G/T 6 Hour Update - Empowering Futures Through Math (Eliciting Advanced Gifted Learning Evidence)

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

While English learners are the fastest-growing student population in the U.S., tens of thousands of these brilliant minds remain "invisible" to gifted programs due to language barriers. Project EAGLE is turning the tide, creating high-energy learning environments designed specifically to let student math talent shine through—regardless of the language they speak at home. This session is a must-attend deep dive into the evidence-based strategies needed to stop overlooking potential and start championing the diverse, gifted thinkers in your backyard. Don’t miss this chance to transform your identification process and bridge the equity gap for the next generation of innovators!
