We want students who are engaged in learning and able to retain their learning. How do teachers know if that's actually happening, what behaviors show that engagement is real?
Typically, educators are able to observe behaviors and determine the level of engagement, but mistake chatting and movement as "off-task" behaviors. Is this true?
This session explores the intersection of giftedness and high-intensity behavior, using expert insights to help teachers distinguish between a student who is "checked out" and one who is "processing at 100 mph."
This session will be held virtually from 4:00-5:30 PM on Zoom.
There will be a product component that will need to be submitted to receive your 3 hours of credit. You will be receiving a Zoom Pre-Registration Link. Please fill out with your District E-mail.
The documents and submissions will be through Google Classroom on the day of the session. It is highly recommended to have your personal Google Account ready in the event that you are not able to join with your District E-mail.
