VIRTUAL HB3 Updates and District Support Check-In



Professional development for school counselors is aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and supports work in the four service delivery components: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.


 


Important Session Information:


Title: VIRTUALHB3 Updates and Campus Support Check-In

Anticipated Audience: School personnel overseeing and supporting HB3 implementation.

Description:

With 19 TAC §153.1015 in full effect and districts now working toward the 50% staff training requirement for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

This Virtual Lunch & Learn will serve as a check-in opportunity and include:

  • Updates and reminders regarding HB 3 training requirements and district accountability
  • Information on upcoming Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings scheduled from June 2026 through May 2027
  • Time to ask questions and discuss district needs, planning, and next steps
  • Opportunity to connect with the Region 20 Behavioral Health Partnership Program Liaison and MHFA Outreach team

This session is intended to support school personnel by providing current information, planning guidance, and space for discussion to help districts stay on track with HB 3 requirements.
