This session is designed to equip campus and district leaders with a clear, cohesive understanding of the Bluebonnet RLA curriculum and what high-quality implementation looks like in K-5 classrooms. Leaders will build clarity around how foundational skills and comprehension work together to develop strong, confident readers and writers, and how to support teachers in delivering rigourous, standards-aligned instruction. Throughout the session, participants will engage with key components of the curriculum, develop a shared vision for effective instruction, and strengthen their ability to recognize and support impactful practices during classroom visits.
Leaders will also explore practical tools for coaching and monitoring implementation, including how to read and internalize lesson plans, identify key look-fors in classrooms, and use observation and snapshot documents to drive meaningful feedback. The session will make explicit connections to STAAR expectations and highlight supports for diverse learners, including ELPS and SPED considerations. By the end, leaders will leave with a stronger sense of what to prioritize, what to look for, and how to lead their teams toward successful Bluebonnet implementation.
