G/T 6-Hour Update: Beyond the Label: Practical and Powerful G/T Strategies for Enriched Classrooms (Judson ISD Only)

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

This session explores practical strategies for supporting gifted and talented learners beyond traditional instruction. Participants will examine affective needs, differentiation techniques, and questioning strategies that promote deeper thinking and student self-advocacy. Educators will leave with ready-to-use tools aligned to the Texas State Plan that help document and strengthen support for gifted learners in everyday classroom practice.

This session is only for teachers and staff of Judson ISD.

This session can take the place of a G/T Day 3,4, or 5 and can be used as a G/T 6 hour update.
