This interactive professional learning session explores how Depth and Complexity can be used as a powerful tool for differentiation to increase rigor, engagement, and meaningful student discourse. Participants will examine how intentional questioning, discussion structures, and student products can move learning beyond surface-level understanding and into deeper analysis, connections, and multiple perspectives .
Educators will engage in strategies such as Think-Pair-Share, Accountable Talk, Socratic Seminars, and structured questioning routines that promote critical thinking and student voice. Through hands-on application, participants will learn how to embed Depth and Complexity icons and prompts into their lessons to support all learners while increasing cognitive demand.
Participants will leave with practical, ready-to-use strategies to design differentiated learning experiences that make student thinking visible and transferable across content areas..
