This two-part training series equips special education teachers and paraprofessionals with the tools to deliver high-impact math intervention.
The first three-hour session (June 15, 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) focuses on the essentials: navigating the Bluebonnet Learning ecosystem to find the right resources and selecting the most effective interventions for individual student needs. Participants will practice the internalization process—moving beyond the script to focus on the learner—while exploring the core principles of number sense. This session includes hands-on training with Bluebonnet math tools to help instructors turn abstract concepts into concrete, accessible lessons.
The second three-hour session (June 30, 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.) moves into a deep dive into the curriculum’s advanced elements to drive long-term student mastery. We will unpack sophisticated instructional components and collaborate on strategies to overcome specific learning barriers common in special education settings. By analyzing scaffolded supports and core mathematical ideas, staff will move from basic implementation to high-precision instruction. Participants will leave with a clear action plan to address student hurdles and spark immediate growth in their classrooms.
Upon registration for the session, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, call Central Registration at 210-370-5671 for assistance during business hours 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
