Digital fatigue and rigid perfectionism often lock down our high-ability students, leaving them paralyzed by the fear of making a mistake. This active, hands-on studio session explores how tactile, unplugged art activities can serve as a much-needed cognitive reset for G/T minds.
Rather than a passive online session or webinar, we will use Zoom to connect, sketch, and experiment with simple art techniques that lower the emotional stakes for students and give them a safe space to process high-level abstract concepts.
We aren't going to completely cure perfectionism nor are we looking to create masterpieces. Instead, this is a chill, collaborative workshop where you will actively "do art" right at your desk while exploring the deep connection between giftedness, creativity, and artistic expression.
Come ready to turn your camera on, scribble a bit, and take home some practical, low-stakes strategies to help your students embrace creative risk-taking.
