Important Session Information:

Every child deserves the support they need to thrive in school, but figuring out where to start can feel overwhelming. If you’ve ever wondered, "Does my child need extra help?" or "How do I get the school to test my child for a disability?"—this session is for you! Under a federal and state mandate called Child Find, Texas public schools are required to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with suspected disabilities. This interactive, 1.5-hour family engagement session translates complex jargon into clear, parent-friendly terms. You will leave knowing your rights under the Texas evaluation timeline, how to submit an official request, and how to follow up effectively if you don't hear back from the school.
