G/T 6 Hour Update: Creativity Boosters: Classroom Practices that Spark Innovation

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

This session focuses on high-impact, low-prep tools including quick creativity warmups,
divergent thinking routines, and product-based extensions. To ensure long-term
impact, all participants will develop and submit a short implementation plan that aligns
these boosters with their specific subject-area content, promoting student voice and
problem-solving.

This session can take the place of a G/T Day 3,4, or 5 and can be used as a G/T 6 hour update
