Executive functioning skills are essential for helping students with autism plan, organize, initiate tasks, regulate emotions, and become more independent learners. In this interactive workshop, participants will receive an Executive Function Toolkit filled with practical resources and explore evidence-based strategies for supporting executive functioning across classroom routines and instructional activities. Through hands-on learning and collaborative problem-solving, participants will leave with ready-to-use tools that promote greater independence and reduce prompt dependence.
This workshop is designed specifically for special education teachers supporting students with autism. Participants are encouraged to bring a current IEP goal, classroom schedule, or information about a student they support to help personalize activities and develop practical executive functioning supports during the workshop.
This session is free to members of the Special Education Cooperative.
