Sensory processing can have a significant impact on a student's ability to learn, regulate emotions, and participate throughout the school day. In this interactive workshop, participants will receive a Super Sensory Kit and explore practical, evidence-based strategies for identifying and supporting the sensory needs of students with autism. Through hands-on activities, collaborative discussion, and real-world application, participants will learn how to use sensory supports to promote regulation, increase engagement, and foster meaningful participation across school environments.
This workshop is designed specifically for special education teachers supporting students with autism. Participants are encouraged to bring information about a student with sensory support needs or photos of their classroom (optional) to help personalize sensory strategies and environmental supports during the workshop.
This session is free to members of the Special Education Cooperative.
