ESC-20 provides professional development and technical assistance to support educators with implementation of the Mathematics TEKS by analyzing data to enhance instructional practices to meet the needs of students, and provides targeted support to reach campus and district goals.

Every classroom is unique, but maintaining the integrity of high-quality instructional materials is essential to ensuring students experience rigorous, grade-level mathematics. So, how can teachers make lessons their own without compromising the purpose, coherence, or mathematical learning?

In this interactive session, participants will explore practical strategies for customizing Bluebonnet Learning K–5 Mathematics while preserving the instructional intent of the curriculum. Teachers will examine which lesson components are essential to maintain, where flexibility exists to meet the needs of their students, and how to make purposeful adjustments to pacing, questioning, instructional routines, and supports without reducing mathematical rigor. Participants will engage in collaborative planning, analyze classroom scenarios, and identify customization moves that strengthen student engagement while honoring the curriculum's design.

Participants will leave with a practical decision-making framework and classroom-ready strategies for adapting instruction in ways that support diverse learners, maintain coherence, and maximize student understanding.
