Effective math coaching isn't just about sharing resources—it’s about shifting classroom culture, deepening pedagogical content knowledge, and building sustainable teaching practices.
This year-long, collaborative session series is designed specifically for mathematics coaches and instructional leaders looking to refine their craft and maximize their impact. Meeting regularly throughout the school year, this cohort will serve as a dynamic professional learning community (PLC) where we analyze current research, share field-tested strategies, and tackle the real-world challenges of instructional leadership. Together, we will move from theory to practice, ensuring every teacher we support is equipped to foster deep mathematical thinking in their students.
Part 5: Customizing curriculum for student needs shouldn't mean diluting its academic intent. Yet, teachers often feel forced to choose between rigid fidelity to a textbook and rogue planning that strays from core standards. In this interactive session, we'll bridge that gap. Educators will learn a simple framework to identify a curriculum's "non-negotiables" versus its "adaptable elements." Through hands-on practice, you’ll master high-leverage adaptations that scaffold learning without lowering the ceiling on rigor.
